Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Being bit by the grumpiest, quietest, most boringly thoughtful Vampire Dragon in Natasha's Cave isn't exactly fun... and that's the situation Evening's Mourning found himself to be born into.

Bitten by Morning's Mourning, Evening was at first very proud to be one of the only hatchlings directly raised by the Vampire Dragon who bit him. He tried to be just like Mourning, he would sit and think for as long as a hatchling could, then would wait patiently for Mourning to finish thinking and teach him to hunt. However, by the time his wings grew in, he had realized that Mourning was probably the 'lamest' Vampire Dragon there was, as far as coolness went.

Now, as an adult, he respects his mentor's quiet wisdom, but still prefers the wilder ways of life... and he lives them (if one can consider a Vampire Dragon living. Perhaps he 'undead's them').
