Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For days and nights there had been a terrible rainstorm that covered the island, including the cave where the human child of dragons lives. After the storm had finally passed, the dragons and human child walked out to see the aftermath; trees broken in half, mud churned and piled up with branches, everything was a disaster. Yagete the White dragon, rallied everyone to help restore the area. As they were moving mud piles, a golden egg slipped out of one and rolled to the child's feet where it broke open and a Gold hatchling with bright green eyes fell out. The child names her Kiamaka, the snaring eyes. Kiamaka grows up with the cave, though she preens her lovely gold scales religiously, Kiamaka enjoys doing chores around the cave. Sometimes she wants to spend the day preening herself, so she uses her eyes to hypnotize Hilina'i the Ochredrake to do them. She picks on Hilina'i because she is often attracted to shiny things, making it easier for Kiamaka to hypnotize her. Nothing personal.
