It’s an undead baby dragon, produced by a failed magical spell. It probably would be cute if it weren’t partially decayed.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The time Nephthys rose from the grave was a dark time for Watari's dragons. Most of the dragons knew Watari wouldn't stand to kill them, as they were far too dear to her. There were others, though... Among the five that were sacrificed, only little Nephthys returned.

Once a Balloon dragon, Nephthys is very light, and every night, she likes to flutter around the cave, chasing the bats. She both loves and hates Watari, always the first to cause trouble, and yet also always the first to volunteer for her evil plots. Aside from chasing bats, Nephthys also enjoys stroking her invisible beard while plotting, biting Watari, trying to eat Gautama and Madame Cluckington, and general mischief.
