On sunny days when the sea is clear and sparkling, coastal villages are often treated to a spectacular sight. While normally shy, Tideweaver Lindwyrms are emboldened by fair weather, and when one starts to dance, the rest soon follow. However, their intricate fins and complex dances are more than just a dazzling show. Tideweavers rely on slight changes in their movements and fin positions to communicate with others of their kind. This communication is key; the lindwyrms are almost always found traveling within tightly bonded family groups. To show affection, they have been known to gently hold one another with their small front legs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Fire Tide was a young hatchling, she was enthralled at the sight of the males in her dragon pod performing their courtship dances during the mating season. So much so that she developed the desire to perform dances herself. However, the older dragons constantly told her that only the male dragons were permitted to perform the courtship dances, as was tradition, and it would be improper for her to join in. Not to be discouraged, Fire Tide decided that she would pursue her wish without the pod's permission. As she continued to grow to adulthood, she would often slip away to practice her dance in secret among the coral reefs, the fish her only audience. On the day she perfected her dance, she realized that she wanted a real audience. Knowing the rest of her pod would not be appreciative of her display, she began visiting the surface whenever a ship would pass by and performed for the humans. Thus, her name was earned, for her dance made it look like the ocean was on fire.
