Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pheonicrus, named after the bright pink flamingo, is a strong and wise dragon. Like his title, he is incredibly brave and defends the rest of the cave from outside forces along with the other guardian dragons. The smaller dragons especially like to play with him mainly because of his very tough and grippable scales, which they love to run up and down upon.

He is also known to roast dragons (literally) who wake him up when he's sleeping. Because of this, he has his very own corner of the cave which is located in a stalactite and stalagmite-free area.
