Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

S'aellya Hrava literally means "She of the Tide, the Wild One".

S'aellya is the speedster of the family. There is nothing she likes more than the sweet rush of adrenaline and the sweep of wind cupping her wings as salt spray licks at her scales. If she is in a patient(ish) mood, she would even take the hatchlings on a ride. They would cling to her back, screeching with delight as she skims wave after wave while snatching up the occasional tidbit to eat.

S'aellya holds the current record for 'longest flight', flying 7 days non-stop on her mating flight with Eludai, who held out until the sixth day. Rumour was that S'aellya had accelerated too much and got carried away to the Dwarvish Mountains by her own momentum and spent the next day winging home.

The name of S'ael was used as a symbol of her bloodline and is the prefix name for all of S'aellya's descendants.
