Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When the sun is high and the days get longer, when the heat is almost unbearable and the sky is a brilliant blue, Kera'Adun is in her element. Naturally, this dragon enjoys summertime best and spends almost all of her time exploring beaches. Kera, as she is sometimes called for short, loves the feel of the hot sand and the warm sunlight against her leathery skin. She finds the sound of the waves melodious and marvels at how vast the ocean can be. The people of the fishing villages have grown used to seeing her at the beach and they give her some of the fish they catch. In return, Kera protects them from pirates, usually together with Dagorath, the water-dragon.

    There are rare occasions when Ysera joins her for a night at the beach. Ysera builds a small bonfire and both Kera'Adun and her human owner would lie down on the sand and gaze at the stars. Kera treasures these moments and always looks forward to them.
