Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tysakinne is a Stone dragon and like most of her kind, cannot move around much and doesn't fly at all. Unfortunately, all of the hatchlings she was raised with were very active and enthusiastic flyers. After her first five attempts to fly resulted in two minor earthquakes, two slightly less minor craters on the stone floors and a rather major crack on a visitor's head, her family got together and gently convinced her that flying was perhaps not something she was meant to do. Her distress at this was tempered by Losara the Guardian dragon, Camreth the Earth, Fierozasion and Kierozesian the Magis, Ashayet the Silver and Shiorelinne the Winter, who left their regular jobs to find a hobby for her. Magic, fighting, agility and gardening were all discarded and it was ultimately PearlWave the Water dragon who found that Tysakinne loved the water. Now the Stone dragon happily shuffles around underwater studying marine life and occasionally climbs to the surface to show off any new finds.
