Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The name "Gellid" roughly means "Frozen Heart," a description that could not be more accurate. It is said among his clanmates that Gellid's heart is frozen so solid that it hasn't beat in centuries, and been without love for even longer. He rarely speaks, and his clanmates rarely give him a reason to. He will defend his clan to the death as any good warrior would, but he will do it without a single snarl or raised eyeridge. The sheer depth of his apathy is enough to unnerve even the undead. A popular rumor has it that his heart was so thoroughly crushed eons ago during a winter so cold that it froze over before it had a chance to heal. Or perhaps he is just really good at hiding himself. No one will really know, and so far no one has been brave enough to find out.
