Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Lux hears the word 'friends', she cringes. Not because of bad memories, or any thing of that sort, but because she feels the word is superficial. A friend, she thinks, is someone who stays with you for a while—maybe even a long time—but eventually leaves. It's an inevitable fate, she thinks. Everyone has to split sometime.

Of course, to her, this also applies to love, and to mates. More superficial words, in her mind. Everyone eventually leaves, be it through death, or abandonment, or even just... moving away. If someone she thought of as a friend left, she could find them, perhaps. She could try to keep contact.

But the days would pass, and eventually the 'friendship' would be forgotten, and, perhaps, she might eventually forget about the one who moved away altogether, as they forgot about her.

So, because of these thoughts, she avoids having 'friends' and falling in 'love' altogether. It's just too much effort to go to, if it will only end in tears.
