Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The egg of Cures was laid as a humble balloon dragon, but her destiny was not as so. With every dragon, the clan recognizes a string of four symbols. It can be anything from 'STFU' to 'Bv7A'. Usually, only jargon and utter meaninglessness can be interpreted from these lines, but this dragon's message seemed as clear as a crystal pool; 'Cure' was this egg's fate, so said the prophecising whites of the clan. And so a daring move was made. If this little balloon was fated to cure something, what could be more clear than to walk among the undead and relieve them of their accursed state...

  Well, look at her now. Obviously, it didn't work, and nothing came out of the whole affair save for one more irritated and blood-hungry mouth to feed in the clan now. Oops.
