You were right, it’s not the same species as the other eggs. So if it’s not a dragon, what is it?

Calen, a very shy and small dino, enjoys following his owner, Mikki, around on her daily duties.  He loves when she stops to talk to people at the market and they comment on him, sitting in her pocket or in her basket.  It makes him feel special, without too much attention.

Calen doesn't like being handled, either.  The only person he'll let pick him up is Mikki, and only because she's very careful.  Despite being a dino, he's small and rather fragile.  When someone picks him up before Mikki can stop them, he is often hurt.  Constantly trying to wriggle away doesn't help.

Despite his shyness, Calen is a very curious little thing.  He enjoys spending time with pygmies and the smallest of hatchlings, because he is often scared by anything larger than him, which is almost everything.

Calen is also fairly intelligent.  With Mikki's help he learned to read, and loves learning about plants and herbs.  When Mikki needs herbs for a sick dragon, Calen leads a group of dragons to help find them.
