Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ebon Kismet, or more commonly and fondly known as Kis, is the favorite offspring of her parents. Daughter to Saberix and Selsa Nightwing, her lineage goes back through a long line of warriors on her maternal side, and a long line of rulers on her father's side. Although she matches the breed of her mother, she inherited very few characteristics from her mother; rather, she is very like her father. Instead of being a cold-blooded warrior, she is much more forgiving and prefers to solve problems diplomatically, much like her father. However, she did inherit her mother's quick wit, along with her father's intelligence and generosity. Kis is very popular amongst the members of her cave, and because of her parents' importance in most of the cave affairs, she is well known throughout and contains much potential to helping out as much and maybe more than her parents in the future.
