Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shade Cinder is quite small for a black dragon, however her small size gives her an advantage in agility rather than strength. Abandoned by her parents when she was just an egg, Shade was fortunately found by an elder dragon who calls herself Windnara. The strange dragon of wind hatched and raised her to a grown dragon, then left her to fend for herself.

Bitter and lonely, the young dragon began her journey in this world...

As years passed, she met many fellow dragons and made some friends and foes, she became more mature, and her natural instincts of a warrior that is within every black dragon surfaces and had helped her to overcome many dangerous situations. Shade now understands why her mentor abandoned her. She hopes that she will one day see her again...

Which she finally did, during one of her aimless wanderings, she found a cave with a familiar scent, and within the cave a strange yet familiar dragon with several hatchlings, just like all those years ago....
