Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ashamed of his impure lineage, and his wrongdoing, Ishi left his small family line. He wandered to find a few like himself; ashamed of their pasts and themselves.

He was once known by a different name, but would like to forget it. He banished his old name, to honor a new one with the new dragons he met. They are very close-knit, but share no blood and are completely different dragons.

Imi, a Change Avatar, gave the other four a scale to commemorate their lives and their losses. It certainly changed their fates; the five have not separated since.
