Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Spirit of the overgrown tree is a vine hatchling, lets say its a she for now, her owner froze her when she just hatched, next to a cherry blossom tree. Where most of her dragon friends names were from, she sees this tree as her mother, even though that it's not true.

She protects the cherry blossom tree, as the tree slowly becomes older, leaves falling from its branches, none of its bright pink flowers to be found. Over time, the tree passed away, the vine hatchling was sad, but there was nothing she could do.

Some months later, they replaced the cherry blossom tree with a plum tree, it was bright purple, the owner now begun to name his dragons after the plum tree. The vine hatchling though now still lurks around the same spot where the cherry blossom tree once was. Each spring, when the buds of plum flowers grew, the vine hatching would poke the leaves and flowers on the ground, but the leaves were not purple or white, they were pink.
