Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nere Plains is a practical dragon. He can be nice but can also be rather curt sometimes. He is even-tempered and doesn't have much patience sometimes. He dislikes hatchlings as he thinks that they are just so immature despite him being one before. He hates fruits and vegetation and likes fresh meat, preferably horse meat. He will defend his friends fiercely from enemies and would even die for them. He loves running instead of flying as he is afraid of heights. He has the ability to control the earth from lifting pebbles to causing earthquakes. Of course, for anything major like an earthquake would drain his energy so he doesn't do major things with the earth very often. This has been something that he was able to do since he was a hatchling and although he has tried, he cannot seem to discover why he has this power.
