Gilded Bloodscale Dragons often spend hours investigating every minute detail of caves, making sure their living spaces are arranged exactly how they like. They crave intellectual stimulation and get bored easily. As such, these dragons prefer to lure in their prey using their sharp minds rather than brute strength, often engaging in battles of wits between their two heads to determine how best to proceed. Seen as eccentric by other dragons, they are often shunned by all but their own kind.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

Quite obsessive-compulsive, this male loves cataloging things, and will make sure each and every last item in his cave is properly arranged and labeled. Pile of gold stolen from some other dragon, check. Speck of dust that appeared last Tuesday, check. Skull of the guy who wondered if there were any dragons living in this cave, check. However, there is one problem with his habit: he finds himself more depressed than elated whenever he finishes. Not content to simply sit around and enjoy his current treasures, he is in endless search of more stuff to collect and arrange, and it is for this reason that he often flocks to the scene of recent battles. While wandering about through the carnage taking his fill of the dead's possessions, he often stops to munch on the corpses, a habit that's led some to call him a dog of war.
