Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Golden Lionblaze loves exploring and competing with other dragons.  He usually travels with his best friend, Silver Frostwind, and their last adventure led them to explore an undiscovered mountain.  Golden Lionblaze usually competes with other dragons in races and hunting competition.  He usually wins, but when he is beaten, it's usually by Silver Frostwind, one of the best hunters, or Seashore Storm's mate, Blossoming Rose, one of the fastest dragons.  However, he doesn't mind.  Golden Lionblaze trains for the competitions with Seashore Storm's mate and his best friend usually, so a victory for one is a victory for all.  He doesn't just enjoy spending time with his mate and his best friend, however.  He knows all the dragons well enough under RubyRed74's ownership to call them his friends, and they can call him their friend.  Golden Lionblaze lives a happy life surrounded by friends and adventure still to this day.
