Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Konomashi's hoard is full of fancy combs and brushes, made of various materials and ornamented in various styles. She's often found using these treasures to brush all manner of things, from fringes on rugs to horse manes. On occasion, she will assist the local tailor with untangling spools of thread, or groom the manes of other dragons. When asked about her oddly specific hobby, Konomashi simply replies that it feels quite soothing to be able to slowly untangle knots and then admire the neatened strands afterward.
