Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cobalt is known for having perhaps the truest and pure heart of all dragons in the cave, of which is quite a large number.  His quality became most noticeable after he eventually fell in love with Andromeda, a young dorsal dragon.  One day when she asked what a mate was to him and why he didn't prefer one he was superior to he said the words that led to them mating for life.  "A mate is not a servant, not helper, not a toy for lonely nights, they are the lanterns that guide your way through the howling nights, they are a partner for life, they are the missing half you have always looked for and fill the void in your heart.  You can count on them to be loyal and strong, never feeling a moment of doubt.  A mate is the one who's life you value more than your own."  Another dragon was passing by as he told her this and he was shocked; no one knew this side of Cobalt that only recently showed up, he has continued similar behavior and Andromeda believes he has the heart of an angel.
