Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Red Darkheart is a female Magi dragon. She is able to translate ancient runes once used as the written language of the dragons of long ago. Darkheart can be found in her cave most of the day, with rolls of parchment and stones with mysterious symbols on them scattered around her. Some say that her skills at translating runes go unparalleled in the lands of HeroHorse.

  Being rather antisocial, Red Darkheart lives alone in a small cave high up in a mountain that forms part of the "Dragon's Teeth" mountain range. Here she keeps her runes and translations. In summer, Darkheart travels the lands of HeroHorse searching for new runes, before returning to her cave for yet another year.

  Red Darkheart has no friends, family or mate. Some say that she likes her life this way, but the fact is that she simply finds it difficult to socialise with other dragons. Due to this, Darkheart is really a very lonely dragon.
