Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A little shiny golden egg was left one night at the entrance to the clan's cave. When Siadoh and Aneko-toki returned from their nightly hunting and patrol, it was sitting near the doorway. Aneko-toki immediately gathered the cold little egg under her wing and took it inside so Hywyn could administer any healing that was needed.

A few days later, a little shiny gold hatchling poked his head out of the egg.

Soon, Joshua the Golden grew into a beautiful young dragon. He rapidly became a friend to the other dragons in the clan, often organizing games and practice hunts to teach the hatchlings how to survive. Because he was left in the cold so long he never gained the strength of most adult dragons, and has always been quite susceptible to cold weather.

Joshua the Golden is always willing to help watch over and guide younger dragons when needed, and his gentle sense of humor never fails to amuse the elders.
