Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s rather plain looking, though.

And look! It has grown wings, and bright markings have developed all over its body.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Robin is athletic and nosy. He can never seem to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time, and when he goes out flying with the other wyverns, he tends to try and fly away from them, seeking adventure as opposed to the same boring routine he goes through every day. What he doesn't realize is that danger lurks around every corner, even for such a large hatchling as himself. The wyverns frequent a place known to house murderous wild dragons, but they usually stay out of their path.
