Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Brie is actually not a real dragon, but a block of cheese that, for some unknown reason, became enchanted and turned into a dragon. Its appearance is quite comical, much like its attitude. It chirps and twirls about when its happy, but becomes sluggish if there's not enough moisture in the air or if its too cold. Oddly enough, there is no cheesy scent coming from this dragon; in fact, it doesn't really have a scent. Perhaps this is a rudimentary evolutionary advantage; the ability to hide from potential predators by masking scent.
