Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tenkiyohoin, like most of her kind, possesses a temper that is not to be tested. However, she never abuses ability to control the weather and will often use her strength and energy to provide rain for farmers' crops during the dry seasons. One of her personal maxims, whenever she's angry, is, "I will use my anger to do something constructive." Never one to let her temper get the better of her, she will often work until she collapses from exhaustion. All this to avoid giving in to the ways of her kind.

Another difference between Tenkiyohoin and others of her kind is the fact that she will only eat meat that local villages provide her rather than hunt down innocent forest creatures for her meal. Whenever she is sad, whether from loneliness or fear of another dragon, Tenkiyohoin retreats to a cave on the outskirts of the local mountain ranges to hide and recover herself. This dragon tries to avoid confrontation at all costs.
