Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aria happens to live near a bustling trade city, full of up-and-coming young magical apprentices eager to advance their studies and make names for themselves. This has both advantages and drawbacks. Sometimes an apprentice visits her seeking guidance on a complicated spell, and brings mana crystals in exchange for her wisdom. Other times she is bothered by a deluded mage knight who wants her head as a trophy. Fortunately, Aria has made enough friends in the city to take advantage of the student gossip chains and study groups: it turns out, most of the apprentices are not malicious at heart, merely misguided by unscrupulous masters. To deal with this, Aria has started teaching her visitors how to identify magical trickery and harmful ill-will, in the hopes that they will pass on that knowledge. So far it seems to have worked, as she hasn't gotten any duel-to-the-death battle challenges in a while.
