Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sofi is certainly a strong-minded dragon and yet quite dutiful, kind, timid, unsure, and considerate (sometimes a little too considerate). If she were to so something wrong, she would do all in her will to make up for it. When a newcomer, she was extremely nervous, and tended not to speak to anyone. She eventually caught the eye of the orange dragon, Hauru, and though he intimidated her at first, she eventually found herself also falling for the charming dragon. When the two became mates, she wanted to have a huge family with him. But, even though they tried, Sofi never reproduced. She was heartbroken, and Hauru would do all he could to comfort his sullen mate. Then, after a year of failed attempts, when she was on the verge of giving up, she finally laid her first egg. Sofi was more than ecstatic, and is extremely protective of the bright pink egg. She and Hauru cannot wait for their first child to hatch.
