Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BeautifulCanopy is a lovely but vain Canopy Dragon hatchling. She takes after her narcissistic mother, BeautifulGlider. BeautifulCanopy is a purebred Canopy, and thinks that this makes her better than everyone else. Most of the other hatchlings in her cave don't like BeautifulCanopy. They feel she is too bossy and too mean to join in their games, she tries to take over and never plays fair. Instead, she hangs out with her best friend BrightBeauty most of the time, and they preen and gossip all day long.
