Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Odeliah loves to run, as many of her species do, and puts her love to good use as a messanger for her clan. Her fast feet allow her to carry messages quickly, while her agility helps her from being caught if she is ever in enemy territory. When she is not on a mission for the clan, she loves to race. She will challenge the other dragons and not give up until they consent. She usually wins, but is terribly cross if she doesn't. She is fiercely loyal to her clan and would die protecting it. The hatchlings always like to play with her because she can run fast and fly. When they play tag, she is always "it" first.
