Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Amaa the Soulpeace dragon has a "party first, hunt later" mindset, much to her father's displeasure. She is flirty and far too eager to fall in love for her own health. Most of her personality comes from her mother and has made her butt heads with Sir Tujaro about his son, Tujaro II. He was an inspiration to her rebellious nature against her own father. She has yet to learn that they share blood and has a slight crush on him. Every chance she gets, she tries to impress him with her magical talent. One late spring evening, she used her superior magic to listen to his thoughts and emotions as he talked with Emmbar and discovered that he had a major crush on her (her being Emmbar). That knowledge made her so enraged that she told Emmbar of it through mental gossip, knowing her growing contempt for him would most likely drive her to hate him all the more. As she discovered they had become mates, she with the assistance of a black dragon, cursed them with infertility.
