Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rising Decay is a predator, clean and simple. A Tri-Horned Wyvern before her untimely demise, death has not dulled her claws—though the same cannot be said of the bonds of family and clan, or the spark of intelligence in her eyes. Gone are the days where she'd bring fresh game for the hatchlings—now it is the hatchlings who watch the skies at night, cowering at every shadow and wind-whisper of tattered wings. She knows only hunger now, and her few remaining memories, as torn and rotten as her skin, bring her to the same grounds each night.
