Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mierin is the first child of Mytheral and Fimus, the latter being the leader of the cave. Some time ago, Mierin was not the fair and wise dragon she was today. She was unstable, prone to bouts of madness and extreme violence. It took the best healer in the cave, Dylis, five hours of continuous cleansing of the mind to even begin to help Mierin calm down, a feat that nearly killed them both. Today, Mierin has become a intelligent and headstrong dragon. Though she is still suffering some after effects of the madness that once consumed her, Mierin is, for the most part, stable. She accepts she will never become leader of the dragons her father rules, but tries to help them as much as she can anyway.
