Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Retalinna was one of the most loved warriors of her tribe, but she was led away by death and misery wafting from nearby humans. When she returned half of the dragons were dead and few others were still struggling to survive. One of these was her father Cyclone, still fighting enemy dragons, he soon grew weak and fled. She had heard from the Wawanaki Tribe that Cyclone was an amazing dragon and warrior. She stayed with the Wawanaki Tribe until other wild dragons took control and brought the Wawanakis to an end. Soon after fleeing again, she stumbled upon a tribe of sea serpents and white dragons. The white dragons belived Retalinna's story but the sea serpents had not. They seperated, and in fear of an upcoming battle, she ran away. Again she went to another tribe of Skywing dragons called the Starwaki tribe. There, she meet Haru, and fell in love. She stays home at their cave near the Starwaki tribe and while Haru is away, she helps them get ready for battles.
