Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very brightly colored and loves fruit.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Scootch!" The cry is both a name and a recommended course of action that heralds the arrival of this frozen Tangar hatchling. He's surprisingly fast as he scoots into the area on his rear much as a dog does, hind feet lifted with a grin of mischief on his face. Without wings, this seems to be his main mode of transportation for reasons nobody is quite sure of, and no one is keen to find them out, being too busy getting out of the way. Wherever the hatchling scootches, an inexplicable fruity smell lingers afterwards.
