Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Storm Ahoy was the first of the "Ahoy" clan. She is an unforgiving tyrant and leads the other dragons with an iron fist. Little mistakes incite harsh punishments, disrespect ends in death. Storm has a fierce temper and will lash out at anyone who angers her. She secretly wishes for a family of her own, though no male will come willingly near the bitter female. She enjoys hunting and is very adept at bending the wind to help her to dive as well as striking prey with lightning. She has been known to catch smaller dragons, such as pygmies, and inflicting brutal injuries out of spite. The dragons were believed to be later eaten by Storm, but it has never been proven. No one really knows why she is so foul and aggressive, but many believe it has to do with her orphaned childhood. The only time she is been known to show tenderness is around hatchlings, whom she teaches how to fight and hunt.
