Bolt Dragons are incredibly powerful dragons with the ability to wield lightning magic. They can be ruthless on occasion, but are generally mild unless provoked. Due to their intelligence and keen observational skills, it is incredibly arduous to attack a Bolt Dragon undetected. If threatened by a formidable opponent, Bolt Dragons will flare out their fin-like appendages to make themselves look more menacing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bolttra, to begin with, has quite a temper. But, this isn't what separates her from the rest of her kind. When she was still an egg, she hatched later than most of the eggs. This was because she was weaker and smaller than the rest. So, Bolttra was mostly a runt. When she grew older, she learned the power of lightning later than the other hatchlings. She was often picked on because of this, and that was why she grew a burning temper. Bolttra would use her rage to scare off those who bullied her, although this would sometimes lead to destruction. Bolts of lightning spreading across the land, screeching in anger, Bolttra doesn't let those dragons run away. The dragons in her home cave are quite happy she lives in a distant cavern, so she doesn't disturb and annoy her friends.
