Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nuecq doesn't get the whole modern dragons and their worshiping of the GoN. When he grew up dragons had a real GoN, with powers above and beyond any of that petty stuff these young small-time GoNs of today possess. He saw all and he knew all. When he was killed, he would return and it wouldn't take him three days to do so—no, he accomplished that feat in less than three hours. He wouldn't participate in any breeding. Breeding was for finite, mortal creatures. He was the king of laziness and the only thing he ever did voluntarily was finding excuses. Still he got the credit for every good thing that ever happened. As it should be, he WAS a GoN after all.

Nuecq still preaches of the glory of Esteban even if other dragons have long since forgotten his name, and he waits for the day his deity's millennial nap will be over and he returns to his loyal subjects.
