Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sabz-Malih (Persian: a Green Beauty) trains the young hatchlings in their magic—especially those that have earth powers. She lives deep within the cave and rarely leaves the area she claims as hers, except to practice earth magic. Sabz-Malih is very beautiful and has had many suitors, but her heart was broken long ago and she has since vowed never to breed.
