And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Xsavier is both the founder and head of the Mic clan, a group of frozen pink dragon hatchlings that seek both acceptance and safety in numbers. Xsavier, known as Savvy to those close, can constantly be seen tending to incoming rescued eggs and helping out with the foraging in order to help feed the ever growing numbers of pink hatchlings. Xsavier dreams of a day where the Mic clan won't need to accept abandoned dragons, but until then, he has proclaimed that the Mic clan shall be open to all whom need it.
