Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Although he appears solemn and stern at first glance, those who know him well can always discern that familiar merry twinkle in his eyes. He lives in the far north, and can often be seen sitting on his haunches with his head tilted back when it snows, a low, contented rumble building in his throat even as everyone else flees the cold. Rumor has it that he's one of Santa's chief assistants, and perhaps this is true; the good residents of the towns he visits always do seem to get even more spectacular presents than the rest of the world. He's also a familiar sight at nativity scenes, where he can be seen bowing his head in quiet homage to the little statues representing the Christ child.

While he is kind and wise, he's not above becoming angry, especially when others try to ruin the cheer of Christmas for others. Those who try to pull down Christmas trees or break presents have been known to receive a swift and painful kick in the behind from him-the only 'gift' they'll get that year!
