Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Diurn longs to see blue sky and white clouds. The night sky is filled with its own beauty, but he can see that anytime. If even a single ray of sunlight falls on him, he freezes solid until darkness, which is very annoying. Diurn likes playing on the edge of dawn and dusk. In the mornings, he watches as the sky pales and clouds turn pink, flying lower and lower to make it last without getting caught and stuck motionless outside all day. At night, he goes out as soon as the ball of sun has set, so he can still see the dimming light of sunset on the horizon. If he goes out too early in the evening, he gets frozen until the sunlight is completely gone and all the stars are out, which is disappointing. He tries to be safe in the cave in he daytime, so he doesn't involuntarily imitate a statue all day. There are usually a few dragons hanging out inside, and the hatchlings are fun to play with.
