Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It spends its time pouncing on insects.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kiooie (Key-oo-ee) is one of the most cuddly of all the hatchlings in the Bitterwind Valley. She is always rubbing against the other dragons and purring happily. She even sits in the lap of the human caretaker of the clan. Her favorite bugs to catch are moths and she will bounce and leap crazily in her efforts to get them.
