Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She was a dragon from ancient legend reborn, wild and proud, worthy of singing in gilded halls about--and worthy of being hunted, in the minds of the vain. Those who dared challenge her power, dreaming fool's dreams of mounting such a high head on their walls, found in their last moments that she was no trophy waiting to be collected. In her eyes shone fire, cunning--and an absence of mercy for those who thought such sport pleasurable. They died at her claws and made for her meat, as did many others with ill intentions, but never once and never will she raise her great power against those who live with kindness and respect.
