Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Queen of Nightmares is the leader of a nocturnal band of dragons called the Lunar Eclipses. She sleeps in the darkest of caves during the day and opens her wings to the sky at dusk. Useing their magic the Lunar Eclipses incacipate their prey with terriable nightmares then come in for the kill. Contrary to popular beilef they do not attack humans nor kill more then they can eat, that is a lie spread by the unlucky farmers that wake up with one less cow than they had before. No one knows how many Lunar Eclipses there are or even if they exist. All they know is that she is real and is looking for a mate.
