Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Peliel is the name of the angel who rules the virtues. Peliel is most active during the evening, like most of her kind. As the sun drops behind the horizon, Peliel stops whatever she's doing to watch it disappear, and starts to sing the traditional mourning song that all of her kind knows by heart. The sweet crooning of her voice calms all animals within hearing range, and even the most ferocious of them stop for a second to listen in wonder.

Peliel bonded with Sabrathan, another Sunset female. Together, they hunt, play, and sing and are rarely seen apart. Peliel is always aware of the animals around her, and when she is hunting, she never takes a female's life, unless she direly needs food. Though Sabrathan has no such reservations, she respects Peliel too much to contradict her.

Peliel, along with Sabrathan, is the ruling dragon in the cave. They are the head of the Council of Angels, more commonly know as the council or 'angels'. The council is the first eight in the cave.
