Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to consume charcoal and ashes.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sand Spirit is a Brimstone dragon. She likes to play with her friend Grimstone Scupltor, whom she calls Grimmi as a nickname. When not playing with Grimmi, Sand Spirit likes to carve sandstone into tiny sandcastles and sand villages. In fact, she carves them so well that even the other adult dragons have taken notice, and have begun to shower her with such praise that her fellow Brimstone rival, Sand Maker Pev, gets extremely jealous of her skill and thus, belittles her.
