Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Forgotten Shadow got his name for a reason. When he was no more than a young hatchling he was abandoned to die. His new master saw the sad, dying baby and, not knowing why anyone would give up such a beautiful black dragon, took him on. He was immediately taken on by the other black dragons, but he was uneasy and frightened and hid like a forgotten shadow. Luckily at the same time he was growing, so was another black dragon who helped him see the better side of life. He has found his place, but still prefers

watching in the shadows and doesn't mind if other wild dragons or even the tame in the Screaming Caverns forget him. He will always be remembered as the forgotten shadow.
