Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Stone Ryu Arashi is named for the tough stone-like scales covering her from head to tail. Her hide is tough and strong, able to deflect most attacks. She weighs many tons and as a result is unable to fly even though she possesses large wings. Stone doesn't move much, she would rather keep her great bulk stationary then waste the energy to move needlessly. When she is laying still she can often be mistaken for a large boulder or hill, having been the unfortunate chair for many traveling humans.<br/>She is a kind soul for the most part, she will not willingly kill anything unless it threatens her or her eggs. She is very possessive of her nest area, and when she is nesting she will challenge anything that moves within her sight.<br/>Her favored foods are hard glassy stones like hematite and obsidian. She also enjoys minerals like iron and copper. To her a dessert is a rare gem or jewel stone, her favorites of those being diamonds and rubies.
