Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. SilverShadowSeeker is a Silver Dragon hatchling who is very shy. His father, SilentShadowSeeker, is a Shadow Walker Dragon, and literally fades into the shadows. SilverShadowSeeker has to hid in the undergrowth or behind a rock. The two of them spend most of their time together, but they don't usually talk. They just both feel safe in the shadows, watching the world go by. Their rare mental conversations are treasured by SilverShadowSeeker, because he doesn't usually know what to say to his Dad.
